The wikipedia article says that the memorial was built in 1911, so this would be between 1911 and 1915 rather than 1910 and 1915.

Also - I realise obviously it is a black and white picture, but it doesn't appear that the gilting had been done at the time the picture was taken - I would have expected there to be a glossier shine even in the BnW, but it appears to look exactly the same as the statue beneath.

Wow, that's very interesting to know how locksmiths were able to make copies of keys back in the days. I would have enjoyed watching the whole process of them making copies of keys. The date would suggest it was 23 June 1911 which was one day after the Coronation of King George V. Since this is almost certainly a picture of the Coronation procession I would think the date refered to the day it was processed or published. Many other copies of this and other pictures in the series are available on the Internet, all taken from the same position but with the procession moved.

This is the Royal Procession which takes place on the day following the coronation.

The carriage appears to contain a Maharaja and the following cavalry is Indian.
