chloe & ivan: We'll leave the tag in, as we need to leave open the possibility that the words chosen are sometimes used interpretively, rather than factually. We all know that the horse is not the actual "Seabiscuit," who wasn't even born yet, and this setting is hardly a racetrack. But Seabiscuit was a symbol of hope for many, and perhaps our tagger was drawing on the hope he inspired, as Inex Milholland would have inspired to women of her time.

While the term "pernicious anemia" is sometimes also incorrectly used to indicate megaloblastic anemia due to any cause of vitamin B-12 deficiency, its proper usage refers to that caused by atrophic gastritis and parietal cell loss only. It is the most common result of adult vitamin B-12 deficiency.[3]
