  This photo is depicted in The Sunday Oregonian. (Portland, Ore.), January 26, 1913, Image 6, "1200 RABBITS KILLED IN BIG HERMISTON DRIVE". The rabbits were rounded up and driven into a large corral made of wire fencing. Here they were killed with clubs. The East Oregonian : E.O., January 25, 1913, EVENING EDITION, Page PAGE SEVEN (at the top of col. 3) reported that also two men were slightly hurt with clubs

  d156156156 Thanks for the information! The article states that she flew from Whitehorse to Edmonton because women weren't allowed on the Alaska Highway (very strange, considering many women were involved with the construction of said highway) but doesn't state how she got from Edmonton to Winnipeg. There are other articles that mention support teams so perhaps she travelled in a support vehicle.

  I don't understand the backward sign at left. I think the tent at center is a barber shop with the stripped banner. I just doesn't look like a good place to ride a bicycle.
