Each year in my house we had the ceremony of the HAT! My father would begin the process of buying a new hat and it took some weeks of trying on and deciding on what style and colour to wear. He would have had a field day in this shop.

I think the ancient art of hat wearing should be brought back to the country. A good wide brimmed Fedora doubles as a personal umbrella on a wet day.

I must agree with Joefuz on that score. Hats are a much neglected accessory these days, except by the country music crowd.

Can't find much for the Falcon hats. Battersby was later merged into the Associated British Hat Manufacturers, per Wikipedia. With the whole organization closing in 1997, Mr. Brennan still has about another good 70 yrs ahead of him selling hats :)
