That's probably the Mayor at the time John J. Wyley who came up in previous discussions. He looks a bit more like 35 than the last candidate:

Do you know how St Patrick managed to get so much done? He had a very large staff.

Have a look at Willie Redmond's last days at the Battle of Messines in a graphic novel (comic to you and me) from Creative Centenaries, that we've been featuring at our WWIreland exhibition. Willie was killed in June 1917. There seem to be a few photos of him in the Poole Collection dated March 1918. Perhaps they were earlier ones taken in the Poole Studio that were reproduced in March because John Redmond (Willie's brother) died in March 1918?

Carol Maddock Wikipedia has William Redmond (1886–1932) When his father died in March 1918, William Archer Redmond resigned his Tyrone seat and successfully defended his father's seat of Waterford at the subsequent by-election. Famously he campaigned in his army uniform and wearing a black armband. catalogue.nli.ie/Record/vtls000720859

National Library of Ireland on The Commons Willie was this William's uncle - confusing! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Willie_Redmond en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Redmond_(1886%E2%80%931932) Ed. And John Redmond was this William's father (died 6 March 1918) - see black armband note. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Redmond
