2's company and 30 is a crowd! The expression Jam Packed comes to mind. Yes Carol, you're dead right he has a camera in his hand. I would have expected a Breviary but that is indeed one of those dreaded camera thingys! The priest on the other wing has a sister on either side and the resemblance is remarkable, there is a great sense of love and pride between them as they snuggle in together, really lovely to see.

The groom looks slightly worried, the bride looks self-assured.

It could be a camera, hard to tell, could also be a case for holding religious pieces such as holy water, oils etc? Though the "buckle" at the right does look like it could wind on something like film.

NOW, **huge** "leap of faith" here on the priest... if it is a camera could it be Fr Francis Browne? If I was forced to say yes or no based on what I have right now I'd say no but maybe there are other photos or evidence that may prove it one way or the other. The only photos I can find of him he is much older or younger but it's not impossible that it is him. In 1922 he would have been 42. Most of the people here will have seen Fr Brownes photos from the Titanic.

The second daughter or Mr & Mrs Frank Power of "Suir View Ville", * Waterford, was Noreen. In 1943 she got engaged to Cyril Lewis, son of the late Wm Lewis of Fermoy and Mrs Lewis of Llandudno.

Mike Grimes I'm coming to the conclusion (tentative) that Suir View Waterford is the Krazy Kataloger at work, the Powers of Suir View, Clonmel are red herrings, and 'our' Powers lived at Suir Ville, as in Noreen's engagement announcement.

A few mentions of "Miss Power" of Suir Ville in Waterford papers in the 1920s.

The photograph was taken at the rear of Suir Ville on the Newtown Rd Waterford . Those two narrow windows can be seen on the porch in this NIAH photo.
