First shot of the "backside" of the "girlie" show series. The man appears in another shot, partly shaded. The trailer in the background was probably used as a teaser stage. The paying customers would then be admitted through the double doors and down the steps to stand in front of the real show stage behind the photographer. The trailer shows up again on the left of the first shot of the "girls".

The World of Mirth was a 50-car railroad carnival that traveled the Eastern Seaboard from 1933 to 1963. It employed 470 people.

Pardon me, but is this where one could possibly attain glee as well?

There's a really intriguing reflection of the studio or location of where this was taken on the left side of her breastplate, It looks like a long hall or railway station.

A Celtic triune or triad is possibility perhaps, or the mythic or later empire idea of 'Britannia' holding a trident?

She causes his visions to reach through British history, on, so it is said, to the end of the solar system. Taliesin also describes a traditional cosmology, inspired by Brigantia. She is central to many heroic myths, especially those concerned with underworld quests and sacred kingship. This seems to relate to Her concern for the development of human potential.

I love these old fancy dress pictures. wonder when this was taken? My Great Aunt had quite a few taken in the late 1910s at a local photographic studio.
