    These are the same men who were identified on an earlier photo in this series as members of the 12th Pennsylvania Volunteers.

    This is the 106th. As I've noted earlier, the man holding the flag is Giles Coons. The man behind him is his wife's brother and my Great Great grandfather John Rockwell. An original photo not seen here hangs in my fathers hallway.

    There is definitely a rope in the next picture. If you look at the larger version of it you can see someone's hand resting on it. Perhaps the line here really is a rope.
