Is that the original one from St Albans (washed away in abt 1889)? Haven't seen any images of that one to verify.

Scott Bird Hi ozbirdy, this one has had us stumped for a while. There have been suggestions that this may not be the Hawkesbury at all, so for now it remains a mystery. I will enter your suggestion into our database for our records. Hopefully one day we will be able to confidently identify it. :)

beachcomber australia Thanks beachcomber, that looks about right! We reckon we could now plot on a map the passage Hall took through the Hawkesbury. :)

Australian National Maritime Museum on The Commons Some of the other 'Hawkesbury' photos have me puzzled - I think many are tributaries (Macdonald, Colo, Nepean, etc). Hmmm ...

beachcomber australia Were you referring to this one?

The President of the Dharug and Lower Hawkesbury Historical Society thinks that this one may have been taken at Colo River. -

Australian National Maritime Museum on The Commons Yes, I thought Nepean Gorge for that photo, but I don't know either (Nepean or Colo) river at all well.
