    Dave Danforth was/is my grandfather. I cannot determine if this is an actual photo of him, or not. He was a left handed pitcher, and I assume a left handed batter (not sure). If the image in this negative is properly presented (i.e. not the inverse) one clue is his right hand appears to be at the bottom of the bat, following his swing. Assuming he batted left handed, this would be the correct position. Is there any other info that helps to confirm this is actually an image of Dave Danforth?

The Library of Congress caption information about the photo (see "Notes" section above) indicates that The Pictorial History Committee of the Society for American Baseball Research looked at this photo in 2006 and identified the player as Dave Danforth. However, the photo has been incorrectly tagged Dan Danforth.
