Osborne is at right, Grant at left.
Photo on desk is of William Jennings Bryan, 1908 Democratic candidate for President.

According to en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jesse_Root_Grant_(politician)
Jesse Root Grant (son of Ulysses S. Grant) had been a candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination in 1908, though he was not considered a viable contender. He was not a formal candidate at the Democratic Convention in Denver.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Eugene_Osborne
"John Eugene Osborne (June 19, 1858 – April 24, 1943) was an American physician, farmer, banker, and politician who served as the 3rd governor of Wyoming and United States representative as a member of the Democratic Party."
One hypothesis is that Grant and Osborne were pictured in 1908 as supporters of Bryan for president. -

The map at upper left is of the "Territories of the original 13 states."
The date written on the negative at upper left ends with "/13." In April 1913, Osborne was appointed first assistant secretary of state. Bain probably hoped the photo could be sold.
See The Prescott Daily News., April 28, 1913, page 4, col 1.

which has a photo from Harris & Ewing that could easily have dated from 1908.

has a rather different photo, suggesting Osborne might have put on weight in five years.
Osborne is seen, 2nd from left in front row, in a group of Democratic senators in![1. Sen. Ben Tillman, 2. John E. Osborne, 3. J.B. Sanford, 4. P.L. Hall, 5. Governor [Woodrow] Wilson, 6. Norman Mack, 7. Willard Saulsbury, 8. J.E. Davies, 9. J.R. Mountcastle, 10. Cong. Talbott (LOC)](https://live.staticflickr.com/3562/3379428162_fde096d25f_n.jpg)
Research by Wystan suggests this group picture is from 1912 after Wilson had been chosen as the Democratic presidential candidate. -

National Library of Ireland on The Commons Yes! Brrr!
It is on the Ballytruckle Road, and I think the numbering has changed since 1908.
