    "Max Karl Wilhelm von Gallwitz (2 May 1852 – 18 April 1937) was a German general from Breslau (Wrocław), Silesia, who served with distinction during World War I on both the Eastern and Western Fronts" en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Max_von_Gallwitz It was attributed to v. Gallwitz to have said, after the Battle of the Somme about the brave fighting British soldiers: '„Nirgendwo sonst habe ich solch tapfere Löwen gesehen, die von solchen Lämmern angeführt wurden (Nowhere have I seen such Lions led by such Lambs)". This led (probably) to the movie title: Lions for Lambs (see en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lions_for_Lambs) There is no proof that v. Gallwitz is the autor of the sentence, though.
