This blonde beauty, Mitzi Strother, went on to compete as Miss Miami in the 1941 Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City. As part of a pageant questionnaire, she revealed she could trace her ancestry to Davy Crockett, among others. (Miss California won the 1941 Miss America title.) She married Lieut. Corbin Dekalb Stevens in 1942. [1] [2] [3]
