This picture is probably from her trial for allegedly stealing Mrs. Nolker's $1,000, in Children's Court in New York. The trial began on March 31, 1915. She and Mrs. Nolker had met in Paris a few years earlier, but weren't childhood friends. Mrs. Nolker described herself at the trial as being almost 30. query.nytimes.com/mem/archive-free/pdf?res=9B0CE7D8133EE7... She was acquitted ater a three day trial and sued Mrs. Nolker for $150,000 for false arrest.
