The Great Sugar Loaf, is the volcano-looking mountain. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Sugar_Loaf Cannot locate the likely gun emplacement on Google maps, though.

Beside the sea? I think it is Croagh Patrick. [Edit: no I don't, see below!]

Judging by it's length, in comparison to the individual standing next to it, it's possible a 6 pounder field artillery piece from the very early 19th century or the 18th century.

Judging from the radiator shape, front axle, steering wheel, and other details, my best guess it's a Ford Model T chassis . Note two-wheel brakes. There's no real safety equipment other than the leather helmet and goggles. Where can I buy one of these cars now??? ;-O

I remember the wheels, because our neighbor in the early 50's had one made into a tractor.

Sylvia Bremer (1897-1943); here's her IMDB bio: www.imdb.com/name/nm0106442/bio An 1897 birthdate and a 1912 portrait date would make her... 15 in this portrait?

Indeed it would! She was taken on by the J.C. Williamson company in 1913, after appearances as a pupil at the Ancelon-Chapman School of Elocution.
