It was the largest wool shed, because Warrah Station was at least 250,000 acres, and ran nearly 200,000 sheep. (ref. www.nswera.net.au/biogs/UNE0673b.htm)

In modern terms, looking north(ish) from the corner of Gibson's Road and Princes Highway, Figtree, Wollongong. The tree, after which the suburb was named, was cut down in the 1980s due to disease.

That marker appears pretty close to the photographer's location given the lowish resolution of the satellite picture. The figtree was on the southern bank of Allan's Creek, on the eastern side of the roadway
