As others have noted, the Christening of the New York Naval Militia's first flying boat or "hydroaeroplane", a Curtiss Model F flying boat, N.Y. N-1. Described in detail begining on Page 174 of the November 8, 1916 issue of Aerial Age Weekly ("Christening of 'N.Y.
