Wow! When I think of all the times I sat in traffic looking down that expanse in both directions I can hardly believe that it could be so empty! I wonder what the booth in the middle of the road was for????

Swordscookie The Streetview is surprisingly empty too. (If you ignore the parked cars.) The little booth has been replaced by a bus stop.

Sharon Corbet So it has! The lovely colonnaded building on the right below is the courthouse. On the far side of it was the RIC and later Garda Station but it was set well back and hidden from view here!
