Binghamton NY was the site of a terrible fire in July 1913, when the Binghamton Clothing Factory fire claimed 31 lives. Twenty-one bodies were left unidentified, and after a memorial service at the Stone Opera House (presided over by a Rabbi, a Catholic priest, and a Lutheran pastor, just to cover all the likely bases), they were buried in the Spring Forest Cemetery. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1913_Binghamton_Factory_Fire Just a few weeks ago, Binghamton dedicated a plaque to the workers lost in this fire: www.wbng.com/news/local/51419212.html
