Great idea NLI. All too often these accidents result in multiple deaths and the effects on the community are extensive. The train driver involved is also deeply affected by the collision though he is unhurt in most cases! This is a cutting from the Irish Independent of 15/2/2004 Retired parish priest of Shanaglish, Co Galway, Father Patrick Healy, 68, was killed when the car he was driving was struck by the Dublin-Galway train at the level crossing at Oranmore. None of the 300 passengers on the train was injured.
