Photos in black and white can be so dramatic...the variations of greys etc. Painter Mr. Couse, looks intensively . Nice composition. I guess that a little bit of depth of field would help. But on the other hand, the "palette" on the foregrounds adds to the overall composition. It is good to noticed the painting subjects, that appear to be native Americans... But he (Mr. Couse) is "the man who commands immediate attention, the center of the composition.
