The original caption is incorrect. It is not Bloody Angel, it is "Bloody Angle". J. Hampton Moore, shown speaking stridently in the photograph was the congressional Representative for Pennsylvania from November 6, 1906 to January 4, 1920. There is a mirror date scratched on the plate " 7/3/13 " July 3, 1913 being the 50th anniversary of the conclusion of the battle. It was a terribly hot day in Gettysburg, as you can see with some veterans sheltering under the shade of parasols.
