    Could be Salthill.

There's a grand collection of masts at the end of the spit, but it doesn't appear to be any of Derrygimla, Crosshaven or Ballybunion.

There's something marked at Salthill that could be posts of some sort: maps.osi.ie/publicviewer/#V2,528134,723732,12,9 Somthing to do with the trams, maybe.

It doesn't necessarily have to be in Ireland - they were in Stolzenfels am Rhein the next year...

Two babies kissed by the sun. One is reaching for something the other is reaching for a toy.

There's always one! Four little girls in the shadow of the Ballymun tower blocks.

That is such a lovely photo. I see two are wearing the same style of dress. Doubtless they're sisters. I remember a girl telling me that she was from Ballymun and then added emphatically "but not the flats!" That would have been the early 70s.

Robin Parkes Good morning Robin, no that was taken in 1969 when the complex had just been opened! I remember a meeting with some of the people who lived in the towers and they occasionally referred to the people "on the level"! It took a while for the penny to drop - they were referring to those fortunate people who lived in the houses within the complex!

National Library of Ireland on The Commons I edited my comment after seeing 1969. It was the "Taken on August 3, 2011" that threw me.

I love the square format and the use of a twin lens reflex.
