No Niall, I don't think that it is Irel! Their bottles were rectangular whereas that appears to be octagonal. If I remember my bottles right that was a bottle used for Goodalls Salad Cream or perhaps Goodalls Tomato Kechup, the shape of the bottle is right as is the label. I suspect that Mr. McCollins (never heard of that surname before) had something else in it such as tea or coffee?

I wonder if he was named Robert, or maybe William?

That hair on the plate is likely to derail the train as it passes! Nice shot of the typical small railway station of that era. Those were some of the early diesel railcars in operation at that time. H&J is just a few miles from Thurles but I am sure they missed their train service all the same.

Swordscookie But it is a great name, isn't it - Horse & Jockey, and An Marcach as gaeilge!

From the look of the station I'd say its a one Horse & Jockey kind of town ;)
