I think Glenbrook Railway Station moved a couple of times as the railway changed course.

The station sign seems odd, Clenbrook?.

[http://www.flickr.com/photos/74004041@N06] The typeface does look like a "C". This is the "new" station built 1913 on the new duplicated line, so the "by 31/12/1905" is wrong. I think this is pre WW1 from the people's clothes, and the embankment behind looks freshly dug with no vegetation, so I vote for 1913. Maybe even the opening of the new station? GoogleMapsSatellite

beachcomber australia Definitely 1913, notice that the Up track (nearest camera) is not yet open, this must be in the few months when only Down trains were using the newly opened deviation.

Looking at that brand new Ford Customline ultility at centre right, this looks to have been taken around 1956.

I have heard that these escalators were originally installed at Milsons Point after the station was built, but before the bridge was finished. They took people from the station down the steep hill to the ferry on Lavender. I believe they are the first public escalators in Sydney.
