These boats , speedboats of "Gar" Wood of the Wood Hydraulic Hoist and Body Company, of Detroit, came up in the Bain/LOC stream 4 years ago, though this one is a later model of the same name, with 18 exhaust pipes:

Mona was one of two British boats brought over the States to represent the Royal Motor Yacht Club of Great Britain in the competition for the Harmsworth Trophy (or Cup) in 1912.
