I like the brickwork in the chimneys on the LHS. Yet another Bovril sign, several of your pictures have them.

She was Clara Dolores Machain, before becoming Mrs. George Washington Lopp. In the New York Times story of 2/3/15, she is referred to as Clara "Washington-Lopp", sender of two 15,000 pound shipments of cigarettes, cigars and tobacco to soldiers at the front. query.nytimes.com/gst/abstract.html?res=9500E3D91538E633A... A newspaper article from May, 1916 describes her husband as shooting and wounding her and his stepdaughter in an argument about divorce. She is described as being known as "Lady Nicotine" by grateful soldiers for whom she had collected millions of cigarettes. news.google.com/newspapers?id=j9ExAAAAIBAJ&sjid=_uIFA... Other newspaper articles describe the weapon as a chisel. One account says she was Paraguayan by birth, her father being the the Paraguayan minister in Paris.
