The Putumayo Report had considerable impact, gaining Casement international recognition as a humanitarian. His contribution was acknowledged with a knighthood from the King on his return to Britain."

There's a Scarborough & co based out of Milford, NH, that would be old enough. They seem to have been a soap company, so this may not be them.

The post office sign reads "River Junction, FLA", the photo is catalogued "River Junction, Florida" by the NLI, and the text on the back of the photo reads "River Junction, Florida"

Btw it is in Hartford, Connecticut.

I respectfully suggest that this is not one of the Irving Streets in Florida, but Irving Street in Norfolk, Virginia, where Sir Roger Casement spoke to the Ancient Order of Hibernians in July 1914. [Edit] The houses in Irving ST, Norfolk, Virginia look similar to the ones in today's photo, but the Hartford ones look even more similar.

Yes, as beachcomber australia has said, we figured this image was from Hartford, Connecticut and it is possible that Casement lived here. Whether he ever went to Florida remains doubtful...
