    Very unusual angle used on this shot which makes for an interesting photo.The element of movement has been captured beautifully. Such a shame this vibrant "hub" of the town could not have been saved in the mould of say 'Beamish', as a current day tourist attraction. My mother worked in The Empire Theatre and loved the old place.

    I think the date is wrong: one poster is for the Charge of the Light Brigade, 1936. The actors in the other poster look more 1930s than 1912 - a woman in a skirt just below her knee would be unheard of in 1912. The title looks something like The Beaty's Pearl?
