    Mrs. Stokes' husband, Walter C. Stokes, was a New York stockbroker; Mrs. Schiff's husband was Mortimer L. Schiff (1877-1931), a banker active in the Boy Scouts of America. Same location, same day (you can see Mrs. Billings and Mrs. Johnson on the left, in the same hats as this photo):

    I've seen that grandstand elsewhere amongst these pics. I'll have to look for it. Here it is: www.flickr.com/photos/library_of_congress/3682649052/ Wystan thinks it's at the Long Branch Horse Show, and he is probably correct.
