Last single deck trains retired in about 1993. But the last ones in use were the last batch made, made around 1958 with the automatic doors.

The restraining cables, holding up the arch, are clearly visible. They were removed when the arch segments met at the top and became self-supporting, but the tunnels into which the cables passed are still there.
