The United States National Museum (USNM) Building is today better known as the Arts and Industries Building. It is currently vacant.

for the any remaining relatives of american soldiers who were assigned here in the philippines, particularly in the town of dumangas, province of iloilo in the years 1899-1902.... if you have any pictures of our church before it was burned down by the soldiers, please or can you post it here on flickr...... we are palnning to restore the church for historical and cultural purposes, but we dont have any clues on how our church looked like during those years.... thank you...

Interesting that most of the crowd appears to be men.

They are on the East side of the Capitol building, the opposite side presidents now use for inaugurations. This side faces the Library of Congress, Supreme Court and residential Capitol Hill.

fascinating that the Dome was not even completed and the nation was splitting apart.
