Photo taken on Sunday, March 2, 1913, outside the church attended by Indiana Governor Thomas Riley Marshall and his wife Lois, in Washington, D. C. Marshall, the Vice President Elect, arrived in Washington before the March 4 Inauguration Day, accompanied by an honor guard of 60 black horse troop cadets from Indiana's Culver Military Academy.

LOC -- Bain misspelled Gen. Liggett's name. This is Brigadier General Hunter Liggett, president of the Army War College, who was commander of the Gettysburg encampment during the 1913 reunion.
