LOC -- Bain misspelled Gen. Liggett's name. This is Brigadier General Hunter Liggett, president of the Army War College, who was commander of the Gettysburg encampment during the 1913 reunion. Thomas Riley Marshall (1854–1925), 28th Vice President of the United States (1913–1921.) He was a native of Indiana and served the state as Governor from 1909 to 1913. Short but tolerable Wikipedia biography. His wife, Lois Irene Kimsey Marshall (b1979), was 19 years his junior.
