Seuss. Thank you! So, this is the Cloghvorra Stone written of by Irish scientist, mathematician and astronomer, Robert Stawell Ball. The quote that keeps appearing is: "The problem that first demands solution is to discover the disruptive agent which would be potent enough to rip the Cloghvorra Stone from its parent bed, to bear it down the valley for miles, and to cast it on the mountain side." (p. 3, The Cause of an Ice Age, 1891) But the "problem that [also] demands solution" still is where is it? Have Google Mapped, but in vain...

There is a limestone boulder, 2,000 tons, at Roughty, two miles south-east of Kenmare (vide Explanation of Sheet, 184, p. 36). This boulder, called ' Cloghvorra,' 26 feet x 16 feet X 15 feet, of limestone lies on old red sandstone, 260 feet above the sea, on the side of a hill half a mile south of Roughty Bridge, having been moved southward. www.ebooksread.com/authors-eng/henry-carvill-lewis/papers...
