    Elephant Rock is a well-known rock formation located on Currumbin Beach and is the remains of ancient volcanic activity. Beach goers can climb the stairs to a platform at the top of the rock for views of Surfers Paradise and Coolangatta. Elephant Rock has become and major and significant site for the annual Anzac Day Dawn Service and houses a war memorial plaque at the western base of the rock.     Thinking the white rocks are chalk, I googled photos of "chalk cliffs Ireland". there are some in Portrush in Antrim of which the geology in the Alamy picture that appears near the top looks somewhat similar.

PUMICESTONE PASSAGE, CALOUNDRA Pumicestone Passage in Caloundra is suitable for both land-based and boat fishing. The rocks at the mouth of the passage are one of the most popular fishing spots in the area. You can also access more fishing spots while on a small boat or a kayak. You’ll be able to catch Flathead, Bream, Whiting, Mangrove Jack, Trevally, and Cod. KAWANA BEACH Kawana Beach is located between Caloundra and Maroochydore.
