Mrs. Adalia Ide (LOC)

This is almost certainly Mrs. Idalia Ide, who played the role of Annie Pepper in the "suffragette opera" performed by a mix of amateurs and professionals at the Waldorf Astoria ballroom in February, 1916. query.nytimes.com/mem/archive-free/pdf?res=F2091EFB3B5B17... She is probably also the vocalist who recorded a song for Victor in 1913: victor.library.ucsb.edu/index.php/talent/detail/10105/Ide... In 1920, Mrs. Idalia L. Ide, widow of Robert L. Ide, a broker who had died 4 years earlier, married Morin S. Hare. She was described as the daughter of the late Louis Leavy. (Another source spells it Levey) query.nytimes.com/gst/abstract.html?res=F60616FA3F5E1B728...

Art Siegel I agree. The New Rochelle Pioneer (fultonhistory.com/Newspaper4/New%20Rochelle%20NY%20Pionee...) wrote about her (Column 4 §2): „Miss Idalia Ide, soprano ... Miss Ide, an American colorature soprano, endowed by nature with considerable more than an average of good looks and unusual vocal accomplishments, arrested the attention of an appreciative audience by the beauty of her appearance as well as the quality of her voice and distinctive singing.“

Thanks to all of you for this great research. We'll show the correction to the spelling of her first name, and add some of this information to the record the next time we update.
