According to a New York Times article in 1914 Carl R. Gray resigned as president of the Great Northern Railroad to go to the Western Maryland Railroad. query.nytimes.com/gst/abstract.html?res=9A01E2DC1E39E633A... James J. Hill was the founder of the Great Northern. So the photo was probably taken between 1912 when Gray became president of the railroad and 1914 when he resigned. www.greatnorthernempire.net/index2.htm?GNEGNTimeline.htm
