It is always refreshing to see the kinfolk of Father Abraham, in more restful moments in time. The passage of the generations have melted the memories of these peripheral characters on the Civil War scene, but they are nonetheless part of our cherished history of late 19th century Americana.

Wow fw, that is a beautiful way to put it. Abe loved those boys more than anyone will know. He was never the same after Willie died. I've read that he used to let them play in the office during cabinet meetings.

LOC has 2 of these and they were taken by a stereo camera - and fortunately the 2 that LOC has were taken by the opposite lens so that they form a matching L /R pair and will create a 3D stereo image. Red / cyan anaglyph posted here: www.flickr.com/photos/110677094@N05/12585245743/ -PT
