He was a pitcher over parts of five seasons (1908-1912) with the Philadelphia Athletics and Cleveland Naps. He led the American League in earned run average in 1909 while playing for Philadelphia. Atlantic City Speedway (Amatol Race Track)! Mullica Hill/Hammonton area in NJ, in the Pinelands. It has a very interesting history so both videos below are worth watching. If you look at the footage in the videos it likes very very similar.
