    USS Crowninshield (DD–134). She was a Wickes class destroyer . In World War II she was transferred as part of the Lend Lease program to the Royal Navy and renamed HMS Chelsea. She was subsequently transfered to the Soviet Union and renamed Derzkiy.

    Great photo of the Navy-Curtiss NC-5, which has a virtually non-existent web presence as such. The famous NC-4 got all the attention, but -5 thru -8 were also built, not mentioned in the Bowers/Putnam Curtiss bible. SDASM, in their vast Flickr archive, also has these photos from their low-res days. Additional info (from respectful sources) would be appreciated, as with my limited time an resources I can't find much.
