The crew of the RN Whaler being passed by the "Tank"(possibly an over ambitious name for such a small vehicle) is looking somewhat bemused by the spectacle. 2nd oar starboard is so gobsmacked by the apparition that he has managed to get totally out of stroke with his crew mates.

Hello We love your photograph! Please add it to our Guiding Lights Flickr group. www.flickr.com/groups/guidinglights/ We are setting up a Flickr group to gather photographs of lighthouses and safety at sea to accompany an exhibition at the National Maritime Museum. The exhibition; ‘Guiding Lights: 500 Years of Trinity House and Safety at Sea’ opens on 16 April 2014 and runs until 4 January 2016. www.rmg.co.uk/whats-on/exhibitions/future/guiding-lights Your photograph may feature on our Flickr wall in the exhibition and you also have the opportunity to be selected to feature in the Trinity House annual calendar or book. Please read the terms and conditions in the About section of our group. We’d be grateful if you could geotag (add your photo to a map) your photograph so we know where it was taken and add any other information about the image. Please spread the word and encourage others to add their images to the group! Joanna Joanna Salter Digital Participation Officer Royal Museums Greenwich
