Mabel Choate (d. 1958)--daughter of Joseph Hodges Choate (1832-1917) and the former Caroline D. Sterling (1837-1929); her father was an attorney who served as US ambassador to England; her mother was one of the founders of Barnard College. Mabel Choate was active in the Republican Party, a supporter of the League of Nations, and trustee of Barnard College. Mrs. Charles Dana Gibson was the former Irene Langhorne, sister of Nancy Astor. Daughter of Chiswell Dabney Langhorne and Nancy Witcher Keene of Danville VA. Internet Broadway Database lists only one play for a "Bessie Stewart", in 1911, and it isn't "this is our last chance". www.ibdb.com/person.php?id=61094 this could be her but it is difficult to be sure.
