As others have noted, the Christening of the New York Naval Militia's first flying boat or "hydroaeroplane", a Curtiss Model F flying boat, N.Y. N-1. Interesting. Are you a relative of the Jaquith who was Kendrick's business partner? Like too many of these early aviators, Kendrick died young (28) in a plane crash, in May, 1919. query.nytimes.com/mem/archive-free/pdf?res=9902E3D6163AE0...

Yes, I'm his grandson, and most of the pictures on my Flickr page relate to his activities as a pilot in Atlantic City, N.J., in the 1920s. I also have a brief biographical write-up on Beryl Kendrick and my grandfather which was prepared by an aviation historian many years ago, which I will try to post in future.
