    We were excited to see that these two little girls were located by the Courier Mail newspaper and featured last week in a story about this year's Ekka. Their names - Yvonne Donald (nee Le Sueur) and Fay Stubbs (nee Le Sueur). They were aged 6 and 8 when the photo was taken. Yvonne noted in the article that it was their first time at the show and that their mother had made their matching dresses.

    We've identified this photo -or rather, our friends at the Kilcoy Historical Society have. "It is Mr Edwin Randall on horseback, Monsildale Road, Sheep Station Creek, via Kilcoy . He and wife Jane selected Portion 107 26 September 1887. It is thought the house was one of the first sawn timber houses built in the Sheep Station Creek area." Our thanks to Noela Lowien - Research and publishing officer for Kilcoy District Historical Society.

    Vesna Verencevic I found more information on this photograph in the library catalogue. TELL5443 Photo of John Parker and his family taken on the steps of the Wyandotte Telegraph Station, NQ. He was based there for 30 years. In Feb,1908 he committed suicide, his wife and family were in Charters Towers for schooling purposes. John's grave is on the banks of Wyandotte Creek. C Marsterson, 20 August 2020. (LP 24/8/2020) Available online at hdl.handle.net/10462/deriv/194004
