"Carrie Chapman Catt (January 9, 1859 – March 9, 1947) was a women's suffrage leader who campaigned for the Nineteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution which gave U.S. women the right to vote in 1920. It's in between other negatives from that event and she's wearing a sash which says "International Woman's Suffrage Alliance". I'll ask for that to be added to the record also.

Speaking at the suffrage meeting advertised on the flier seen here, Carrie Chapman Catt has a close connection to International Women's Day (IWD). In 1904, she was elected to the first board of the International Woman Suffrage Alliance at a meeting in Berlin and reelected in 1906 in Copenhagen. She promoted suffrage for women in her travels around the world in 1911-1912, stopping in South and East Africa, the Middle East, India, China, and many other places.
