Obvious is George's association with Fox as an aerial cameraman. Tragically he died within a few years of this photo. He was taught to fly by Burdett Fuller and soloed in just 6 hours. Died after trying to make a forced landing at Westchester Bluffs (Playa Del Rey) sand dunes, now LAX boundary. His flying companion was Fox associate Otis C. Freeman.

In Memorial: Sometimes in life synchronicity and coincidence blow us away. Today, out of the blue, I was thinking about this guy, an aviator that died so young, his entire life ahead of him and what a tragedy that was (not unlike so many other aviators who have passed on at an early age). I went back through my work and found the story I wrote about him (bottom of the page 1926 on www.sedonalegendhelenfrye.com). What blew me away is finding that he died on February 13, 1934. Today’s date is February 13, 2014, 80-years to the day. This is too much of a coincidence and with that thought I believe these young aviators are still with us in spirit and obvious it is George wants to be remembered, and so he is, with the efforts of SDASM, and historians like myself.
