    I did put some time into this without success, but today an image search resulted in a version of this with a handwritten notation at bottom, "U.S. Quartermaster Sergeant Freeman H. Owens (1890-1979) was at this time working for the Committee For Public Information and the Signal Corps on war documentary movies. www.imdb.com/name/nm0654363/ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freeman_Harrison_Owens "Owens joined the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve as a quartermaster sergeant on March 26, 1918. He was appointed as an official cameraman, and he filmed Flying with the Marines and immortalized the Battle of Chateau Thierry in France. On January 10, 1919, Owens was given a temporary assignment from the marines and was ordered to Brest, France. He traveled on the USS Washington and filmed President Woodrow Wilson and then–Secretary of the Navy Franklin D. Roosevelt and his wife, Eleanor.
