Brass band in funeral procession [Sir Thomas Henley's?] in Drummoyne

    This looks something like the church in College St, Drummoyne (See this view in Google Maps.) The band appears to be a brass and reed band - there is a piccolo and clarinet visible in the back two rows at the Powerhouse Museum site.

    Also interesting that the drum major and the two players he is looking at (BBb Bass and trombone) at the right are out of step with the rest of the band. Of course the drum major would probably claim that the rest of the band is out of step!

    Pretty sure I've seen this photo before. I think it might be the Kennedy Regiment Band in Townsville but earlier than 1913. Probably wrong but.............
