  The uniformity of the diameter of these logs makes me wonder if this is one of the log cabins built from Cabbage Palms (Sabal Palmetto)? Several are still being used at Myakka State Park www.flickr.com/photos/jprentice/151427423/ and other examples exist in the Yankeetown area (vertical logs).
